Privacy Policy

TeraLeap, LLC (“TeraLeap”, “we”, “us”) helps B2B companies capture their customers’ stories on video. We are based at 509 W North Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, USA. Questions about this policy: team@teraleap.io.

When we record or host videos for a company, we do it on that company’s behalf, and that company decides how its videos are used.

What you give us: your name, email, phone number, company and job title; answers on our booking pages (for example a shipping address for a recording kit, or which phone you’ll record on); messages you send us; and files you upload.

Recordings: the video and audio of sessions you record with us, and transcripts and captions made from them.

App accounts: your login details and what you do in the app.

Texts and calls: your phone number, the texts and WhatsApp messages we exchange, call details, and call recordings and voicemails.

Automatically: your device, browser, IP address, pages you visit and how you use them, through cookies and similar tools (see “Cookies and tracking”).

Video viewing: when you watch a video we host for a company, we record that it was watched and for how long. If you enter your email to watch, or arrive through a personal link, we record who watched.

From others: details about you from the company that invited you to a session, and business contact details from professional and public sources.

• To run our services: scheduling and holding sessions, recording, editing and delivering videos, and running the app.
• To make videos for the company that invited you, and to share the results with that company.
• To talk with you by email, text, WhatsApp or phone about your sessions, projects and requests.
• To keep our services secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
• To understand how our website and app are used, and improve them.
• To tell business contacts about our services. You can opt out at any time.
• To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

Our website, teraleap.io, uses cookies and similar tools from these services, loaded through Google Tag Manager:

• Google Analytics and Fathom: how many people visit and what they look at.
• Microsoft Clarity: how pages are used, including heatmaps and session replays, to improve the site.
• Google Ads, LinkedIn and Meta (Facebook): to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site.
• AskSquid: to understand which companies and people visit our site, so we can follow up.

Our app, app.teraleap.io, uses cookies to keep you signed in, and product analytics to see how features are used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of ad personalisation through Google, your LinkedIn privacy settings, and aboutads.info. Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

We use AI services, including Anthropic’s Claude, to transcribe recordings, write captions and summaries, find moments in interviews, and help our team draft messages. We do not use your recordings or content to train AI models, and our AI providers do not use them to train their models.

The company that invited you. If you record a session or watch a video for a company, that company gets the recordings, your booking answers and the viewing details for its videos.

Our service providers, who work for us under contract: website and app hosting (Netlify, Supabase), video recording and hosting (Mux, Zoom, LiveKit, Riverside), file storage and email (Google Workspace, Resend), texts, calls and WhatsApp (Twilio, Meta), AI (Anthropic), and the tools our team works in (Close, Monday, Slack), plus the analytics and advertising services above.

When required: to comply with the law, protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

We do not sell your personal information.

If you give us your mobile number and tick “Text me reminders” when you book, TeraLeap uses your number only to text you about your work with us: updates and follow-ups on your video projects, scheduling and confirming video sessions, reminders before a session, day-of details such as the join link, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing texts.

We keep your number, the texts we exchange, and whether you have opted out, so our team can reply and so we honour your choice. Our texting provider (Twilio) carries the messages for us.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The TeraLeap app (app.teraleap.io) can connect to your Google Calendar. It is used by our team and by our customers, to plan work around meetings and to offer booking times that suit both sides. If you choose Connect Google Calendar, you sign in with Google and allow access, and we use that access only for this:

• Reading your events on the calendars you choose, to know when you are busy and to show your day in the app. Event titles are shown only to you; the people you work with see only that you are busy.
• Adding, moving and removing events the app itself creates on your calendar: task blocks, and meetings you book with us. The app never changes or deletes any other event.
• Your calendar list and free/busy times, so you can pick which calendars count as busy.

We keep the access key Google gives us encrypted, and we do not store copies of your events beyond the events the app creates. You can disconnect at any time in the app (Calendar, then Settings) or in your Google account, and we then delete the key.

TeraLeap’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and people do not read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires.

We keep information as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it. Videos and recordings are kept while we work with the company they were made for, or until that company asks us to delete them. Working copies of recordings are removed automatically once the originals are safely stored.

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and our systems are monitored. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you without undue delay and as the law requires.

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing, by emailing team@teraleap.io. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and reply STOP to stop texts. Depending on where you live (for example the UK or the European Union), you may have further rights, including objecting to how we use your information and complaining to your data protection authority.

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer information from the UK or European Union, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Our services are for businesses and are not meant for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with its date, and tell customers about significant changes by email.
